Meet the Chief

Bob Rose


Bob Rose is a graduate of Milford High School and has lived in and near Goshen for most of his life. He began his law enforcement journey as a Police Explorer with the Miami Township Police Department at the age of 14. He was appointed to his first position as a police officer with the Village of Williamsburg in 1997 and soon moved on to the Miami Township Police Department where he held positions including canine officer and field training officer. In 2004 he was named Chief of Police in the Village of Blanchester and he served there until 2006 when he accepted a position with the Ohio State Highway Patrol as a State Trooper. In 2010 he was appointed Police Captain with the Goshen Township Police Department. Bob Rose was promoted to Chief of Police Goshen Township in April 2016.

Chief Rose has a Criminal Justice degree from the University of Cincinnati. He is a Certified Law Enforcement Executive, the highest executive level police certification in Ohio. He is a graduate of the Police Executive Leadership College and he has an Undergraduate Certificate in Human Resource Management, with honors, from Ashworth College.

Meet the Captain

Don Hampton


Don Hampton has been in public service for approximately twenty-years. He started his appointment with the Goshen Township Police Department in 2001 as a line-officer. In 2003 he was promoted to night-shift road patrol supervisor, where he spent the next thirteen-years. In 2016 he was promoted to Police Captain, acting as the Assistant Police Chief. Captain Hampton has a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal justice with some Master level courses completed, over 500hrs of advanced police training, and teaches in the criminal justice division at the University of Cincinnati.

Meet the Sergeants

Jeff Wolf


Jeff Wolf joined the Goshen Township Police Department in 2010. He was promoted to Police Sergeant on February 15, 2017. He serves as a night shift supervisor, Field Training Officer (F.T.O.), and is a member of the Clermont County Crisis Intervention Team (CIT). He is a 1992 graduate of Madison Comprehensive High School in Mansfield, Ohio and a 1996 graduate of Lee University in Cleveland, TN, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Theology. Sergeant Wolf obtained his Peace Officer Certification from the Youngstown State University Peace Officer Training Academy in 2005.

Sergeant Wolf began his law enforcement career as a police chaplain in 2000 serving multiple agencies in the state of Ohio, including Miami Township Police from 2007-2014. He is a member of the International Conference of Police Chaplains and has met requirements of certification as a Senior Chaplain. He previously served as police officer and field training officer for the New Richmond Police Department, and special deputy sheriff with the Portage County Sheriff’s Office, Ravenna, OH. He has obtained over 250 hours of advance police training.

Jeremy Skates


Jeremy Skates grew up in Delta Ohio. He is a 2001 graduate of Pike-Delta-York High School and a 2004 graduate of Owens Community College where he earned a degree in Criminal Justice. He was appointed to his first law enforcement position in 2005 as a Blanchester Police Officer. He earned recognition as Officer of the Year in 2008 and then a promotion to Sergeant in 2009. In 2012 he was appointed by the City of Wilmington Police Department where he held positions including Field Training Officer, Relief Road Patrol Supervisor, Temporary Detective, and Assistant Team Leader on the departments Special Response Team. He was named Wilmington Officer of the Year in 2013.

Sergeant Skates joined the Goshen Township Police Department in 2017 and serves as night shift supervisor.
